OUR HOPE…..Life can be brief; help for life involves the emotions of a person as well as the outward activities offered by our friends. Living with hope within is described in Romans 5:1-5 as a result of a process wherein our faith is tried and we have successfully experienced the patience which goes along with faithfulness. Are you living with hope in your heart ? Are you allowing tested faith to continue with you all the while and thus have this hope in Christ Jesus ? Notice the activities of hope as shared in chapter 6: 1) A false idea of sin and grace is corrected 2) Paul reminds them of when they began a new life following their baptism 3) Paul urges them to enjoy the newness of life 4) Paul reminds them of the ‘obeyed that form of doctrine delivered you’. Cornelius enjoyed the newness of life as well (Acts 10:43-48; 11:15-18). Let us carry about the hope which provides assurance to us–real assurance.
