Concerns for the Church of our Lord

Concerns for the Church of our Lord

The Gospel of Christ served as a lead to the daily ministry of Paul (Romans 1:16). He was ‘not ashamed ‘ of the gospel and was set to present the ‘power of God to save’ all of mankind. The gospel presents concerns for the growth and development of the Lord’s church ( I Cor. 1:1010). Religious division according to man’s names was not to be followed.  Paul begged them to not wear his name or the names of Cephas or Apollos. Christ Jesus was crucified for them and , further, they had been baptized into the name (by the authority of) Christ. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch (Acts 11:26).  Should we be concerned when the church members are choosing to wear other names ? Paul was; the Holy Spirit who delivered the message was (I Cor. 2:1-9) and revealed in words so all could be taught. Should we be concerned when disciples do not wish to read or study the Scripture anymore?  Paul was; the Holy Spirit who delivered the message was  (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Should we be concerned when religious division is desired to be the norm rather than have discussions leading to unity? Paul was; the Holy Spirit who delivered the message was (Ephesians 4:1-6). Is there one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all ? Is there one body, one hope and one Spirit ?  How ’bout becoming concerned  about the names which divide ? What do your studies of God’s Word reveal  about concerns  which we should have ? We look forward to your response to this study article.
